How to Like a Text Message on Android?
- Sending a Like Reaction on Messages for Web If you’re using Messages for Web (the web version of Google’s messaging app), things get very simple. All you need to do is open the conversation and hover your mouse over the text message that you’d like to like. A small reaction icon will appear in the upper right corner of the message; click this icon and select one of six reactions—love, laugh, surprise, sadness, anger, or dislike—to show your feelings towards that particular message.
- Using Gboard Keyboard Shortcuts – If you don’t have access to a computer or laptop but would still like to send a quick reaction in response to someone’s text message, there is another option available. All you need is Gboard (Google’s keyboard app) installed on your phone. Then, when replying to a text message from inside Gboard, tap and hold down the enter/return button at the bottom right corner of the keyboard until additional buttons appear above it. These buttons will allow you to quickly send one of five reactions—love heart, laughing face with tears of joy emoji, surprised face emoji, frowning face emoji with tears streaming down its cheeks emoji, or angry face emoji—with just one tap! It’s that easy! In addition to liking individual messages in conversations with friends and family members through both Messages for Web and Gboard shortcuts as outlined above, it’s also possible for users who have set up chat rooms / group messages among multiple contacts in their Google contacts list can also “like” specific messages sent by other members within these groups as well. This works similarly as mentioned before; hovering over any specific message within these chat rooms will reveal a reaction icon which can then be clicked upon and used with one of five available reactions shown before as well as add comments about said messages too if desired as well.
It’s now easier than ever before to let someone know that their text message was appreciated! Whether you’re using Messages for Web or Gboard shortcuts on Android devices, showing your appreciation doesn’t have to require long explanations anymore; a few simple taps or clicks are all it takes! The next time someone sends you an important update or bit of news via text message try out one of these methods and let them know that their communication was appreciated without having use extra words!
